Greetings and Salutations!

My name is Ms. Bridget Nirschel.  I am proud to say this will be my 9th year teaching with the Diocese of Tucson and my 6th year teaching 1st grade at Our Mother of Sorrows School.  Of my 20 plus years teaching in the primary grades, I feel very blessed to be here among this faith-filled community!

I am a native Tucsonan, and an Our Mother of Sorrows alumnus, having been one of the first students to attend the OMOS Preschool.  Although I left Our Mother of Sorrows after 4th grade, the Parish remained an integral part of my spiritual life through my participation in the religious education and teen group programs.

I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  After teaching a few years, I returned to the University to obtain my Master's degree in Language, Reading, and Culture with a Reading Specialist Endorsement.  My education and experience have been a valuable asset to understanding the developmental needs of beginning learners.
